It is great to see a person of Science & today’s medicine stop & say “what the heck, lets look at prevention!”. Thank you so much for that. I had my daughter take her shots up til the 4 yr old ones & then I refused. All her previous immunisations not only kept her unwell after having them but in a few months she contracted some of the sickness anyway. We both suffered from Whooping Cough months after her first shot for it & now will be protected naturally up to 5 yrs so they say. I just had a bad feeling in my gut that if I had her take the 4 yr old shots that something bad would happen to her. Of course that means Centrelink doesn’t give me the extra $ but, I don’t want $ if it damages my child, I’d want blood.

It is a hard issue & there are scary things on both side of the coin. What I would like to know more about is what Valerie mentioned – a way to test to see if your child is more at risk for a complication from them. INDEED What globe are you speaking of….I sponsered a child from a third world country who died from measles and did you think to mention that maybe they should go and have a look at the cemertries of the not so distant past and see all the deaths of the many children who died from these diseases or they might think a third world country is a better place to be than what we have or had here.

- If people, that is the so called miss informed parents (‘conscious objectors’) ??? stop vaccinating there children from these scare campaigning of your book could just cause more disabilities or death ???

- Maybe as a doctor you should go back into the research side of your profession and come up with a more responsible approach as doctors do take an oath to do no harm do they not???

My child is vaccine injured, acknowledged by the medical profession. He developed Transverse Myelitis, and continues to struggle neurologically, in GI terms and immune wise. I get that vaccines are safe for some, but I live with the reality that they’re not safe for others.

While i totally support securing the safety of vaccines, surely the process of identifying and protecting the most vulnerable recipients would be valuable too.
